Gold Coast Sailing Charters: The Ship

Maranoa is an icon of the Gold Coast and is docked at Marina Mirage. She was built in Tasmania in 1964 of Huon Pine. She is a brigantine with square sails on the main mast. We sail her whenever we can, and guests are invited to take part. The ship has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Not only is she the only wooden sailing ship on the Gold Coast, she is also the longest running tourist vessel on the Coast and has operated here for over 20 years.

Maranoa has three separate seating areas; an open foredeck, a covered quarter deck and a cosy saloon below.

Maranoa can seat up to 40 passengers, making her great for parties, work functions and simply relaxing on the beautiful Gold Coast waters.
